Seattle Kraken defenseman Ryan Lindgren was placed on injured reserve Thursday and will be sidelined for four-to-six weeks with an upper-body injury.
Lindgren, 28, played only 3:57 in Tuesday’s 6-2 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights. The veteran blueliner was hit from behind by Golden Knights forward Marc Gatcomb early in the first period.
Lindgren, who is in the second year of a four-year, $18 million deal, has zero points and a plus-3 rating in four games this season. He has 111 points (16 goals, 95 assists) and a plus-100 rating in 485 career games with the New York Rangers, Colorado Avalanche and Seattle.
The Kraken (2-2-0) begin a five-game road trip on Friday against the Detroit Red Wings.
