Rangers right-hander Jakob Junis landed on the 15-day injured list for the second time this month on Thursday.
Texas recalled right-hander Winston Santos from Triple-A Round Rock in a corresponding transaction.
Junis, who missed 11 games from July 1-17 with a right hip impingement, now is dealing with a left adductor strain.
Junis is 1-1 with five saves and a 2.70 ERA in 36 appearances (one start) in his first season with the Rangers.
Santos, the team’s 11th-ranked prospect by MLB Pipeline, is starting his second stint with Texas this season.
Santos, 24, made his major league debut on July 1 in a no-decision at Cleveland. He allowed two earned runs in two innings of relief.
